Cold, Mild, More Cold, and Nor'Easters! 10/15/2009
Well, some more rain is expected to move through the area tonight before this system pulls away from the area and things clear out tomorrow. The next system which will be weaker will arrive in time for the weekend and bring more rainy, windy, chilly, and just downright RAW conditions to the Mid-Atlantic. Many places as far south as southern VA could see their first frost by the time next week rolls around. Low temperatures late this weekend going into next week are forecast to be in the 30's and 40's region wide. After that most of next week into the following week should be mild (60's and 70's) before the next arctic intrusion is forecast to occur next weekend spilling into the week of Hallowe'en. The models also want to develop two more Nor'Easter type storms. One during the 22-24th time period which looks warmer and rainy and another just in time for Halloween during the 28th-30th which looks colder with the potential for more mixing and snow (I wonder where I've seen those dates and that scenario before? Repeat of last year?). Right now, I'm not buying these storms. I'll wait til they're in the medium-range before I get interested. |
